1368680 Adriamycin derivatives SOC FARMACEUTICI ITALIA 9 Dec 1972 56916/72 Headings C2A and C2C Novel compounds I in which R is an acyl radical derived from a substituted or unsubstituted, aliphatic, aromatic, cycloaliphatic, araliphatic or heterocyclic mono- or di-carboxylic acid having from 1-20 C or a therapeutically acceptable salt thereof (but not acetic acid) any substituent being halo, OH, alkyl, alkoxy, unsubstituted or mono- or di-alkylamino or NO 2 or R is an acyl radical derived from an alkyl- or aryl-carbonic or carbamic or alkylcarbamic or sulphonic acid are prepared by reaction of 14-bromodaunomycin or a salt thereof with RO-M (M is an alkali or alkaline earth metal or quaternary ammonium radical).
