1367426 Pipe joints E DUNKEL SNR and E DUNKEL JNR 8 June 1972 [10 June 1971] 26847/72 Heading F2G A pipe joint connection piece 10 has external teeth 12 at one end with internal threads 3 to be screwed on to a pipe (not shown) and external threads 1 to be screwed into a socket 6 at the end of another pipe, a tapered spigot 12 on the connection piece receiving a sealing ring 5 and the wall thickness a of the connection piece at the first end being at least twice as thick as the maximum wall thickness b at the other end. The diameter c of the internal threaded portion 3 is selected from one or other of three standard pipe thread sizes, but is not less than the internal diameter of the spigot 12. The connection piece 10 is cast from iron.
