Abstract

1362055 Tufting ASAHI KASEI KOGYO KK 28 Oct 1971 [27 Feb 1971] 50208/71 Heading D1G Hair meshes are sewn, to form a wig, by employing a twin needle sewing machine having a presser foot 3 and a serrated feed dog 4, a buffer band 7 of a width narrower than the distance between the needles 2 being interposed between the meshes 9 being sewn and the presser foot, the sewing being carried out while moving the band in the same direction as the meshes being sewn to avoid damaging the meshes. A guide 5, which may be of PVC, for the band 7 is provided on the presser foot, the band passing therethrough, over a feed roller 8 and through a further guide 6.
