Abstract
1353293 Separation of radioisotopes PHILIPS GLOEILAMPENFABRIEKEN NV 28 Feb 1972 [2 March 1971] 9007/72 Heading G6R A radioisotope generator is prepared by applying a radio-active parent isotope to aluminium oxide carrier, and then treating the carrier with an oxidizing agent before elution to remove the daughter isotope. In examples a molybdenum solution containing Mo 99 is applied to alumina and then the alumina is treated with an aqueous solution of potassium dichromate. The generator may be sterilized before or after the oxidizing treatment and may then be used for the elution of technetium To 99m for use in medical diagnosis.
