Abstract

134,370. Harvey, L. C. Nov. 16, 1918. Fuel, feeding.-In a screw feed-arrangement. for pulverized fuel, the screw b delivers into a chamber d having a regulable outlet to the blast pipe or furnace and a by-pass such as i by which excess fuel is returned to the inlet end of the screw, or to the hopper c, or otherwise, to be fed again. The fuel valve consists of a grid f adjustable by a hand-wheel, and there may, in addition, be a lever-operated slide m for quick cut-off.
