Abstract

1341250 Seats STOREY BROS & CO Ltd 13 July 1972 [29 July 1971] 35815/71 Heading A4M A vehicle seat comprises foam plastic seat and back rest cushions 22, 32 interconnected by a flexible tube 68 so that when the seat cushion 22 is compressed air is displaced to the backrest cushion 32, to be discharged from the front surface of the back cushion 32, at least part of the air to replace the discharged air being sucked in through the upper face of the seat cushion 22 when the latter expands on relief of its load. Passages 52 extend through the seat cushion 22 to holes 50 fitted with one way valves formed in a seat cover 20 embossed with channels 40. Passages 64 in the back cushion 32 extend to holes 60 in its embossed cover 31. The inlet 66 for air to the back cushion 32 is fitted with a non-return valve 70.
