Abstract
1341170 1,3,2 - Oxaazaphospha - cyclic compounds ASTA-WERKE AG CHEMISCHE FABRIK 21 Feb 1972 [19 Feb 1971 14 Jan 1972] 7881/72 Heading C2P The invention comprises compounds of formula wherein R is halo or C 1-6 alkylsulphonyloxy; R 1 and R 2 are each H or a C 1-4 alkyl group which is optionally substituted by halo or by C 1-6 alkylsulphonyloxy; alk is C 2-4 alkylene having 2 or 3 carbon atoms in the direct chain between R and N; X is O or S; Z is H or C 1-4 alkyl (the various Z's being the same or different); and m is 2 or 3; with the proviso that the molecule contains at least one alkylsulphonyloxy group. Preparation is by reacting IV with V, or VI with VII, or VIII with IX (the amine reactants optionally being used in the form of their hydrochlorides or hydrobromides) (wherein R 3 is R or OH; R 4 is R 1 or C 1-4 hydroxyalkyl; R 5 is R 2 or C 1-4 hydroxyalkyl; and X 1 is halo), followed by replacement of any hydroxyl group by a halogen atom or alkylsulphonyloxy group, and by optional replacement of a halogen atom by an alkylsulphonyloxy group. Compounds I are said to possess immunosuppressing activity, and may be made up with carriers into pharmaceutical compositions for oral, parenteral and rectal administration.
