Abstract

1,238,205. Inhibiting corrosion. ESSO RESEARCH & ENG. CO. Sept. 30, 1968 [Oct. 9, 1967], No. 46352/68. Heading C7E. Corrosion of metals in contact with aqueous media is inhibited by adding to the water a soluble gluconate and a soluble benzoate or salicylate. Equal amounts of the two components are preferably used, the concentration of each being 1 to 4000 ppm.
