Abstract

1,230,364. Back scrubber. S. W. BYRNE. 15 May, 1969 [10 Jan., 1969; 29 Jan., 1969], Nos. 1748/69 and 5287/69. Heading A5R. [Also in Division A4] A device for treatment by a person of his own back comprises a substantially non- absorbent, flexible flat strip 10 with handles 11 formed in the flat strip at each end and a pad of foamed material 13 secured to the central region of the strip extending over less than half the length of the strip. A second pad 14 may be secured to the opposite side of the strip 10. The strip 10 comprises a double thickness of P.V.C. sheet welded together around the edges. Openings 11 include moulded rims 12 welded to the strip 10. Pouches closed by flaps, or loops may be provided on strip 10 for containing soaps, razors, &c. The device may be fastened in folded condition when not in use.
