Abstract
1,227,340. Fuel and air supplies to furnaces. LAIDLAW DREW & CO. Ltd. 24 Sept., 1968 [27 Sept., 1967], No. 43995/67. Heading F4B. A furnace, for example an end fired or cross fired glass melting tank, has its combustion air and fuel ports inclined at an angle to one another, at least in the horizontal plane, to promote complete combustion. The inclined angle may be between 2 and 15 degrees, preferably between 4 and 10 degrees.
