Abstract

1,221,765. A turf working implement. SISIS EQUIPMENT (MACCLESFIELD) Ltd. 21 Jan., 1970 [22 Jan., 1969], No. 3724/69. Heading A1B. A turf working implement comprises a reel shaft 10 supported at either end in a turf working machine and capable of being rotated by means of sprocket 12, there being spacers 13 at intervals along the shaft, supporting staybars 15 which run parallel to the axis of the shaft 10. Stiff wire tine members 16 are mounted on the staybars 15 by means of helical coils 17 formed at the root of the tine members, permitting their free pivotal movement on the staybars and a flail action when the reel is rotated and moved over the ground.
