Abstract

121,527. Dunlop Rubber Co., and Macbeth, C. Dec. 21, 1917. Hand-trucks.-Apparatus for stacking tyres, packing cases, boxes, and barrels on rails P comprises a platform A pivotally mounted in wheeled side members E, E' which pass outside the rails P. The platform A is provided at one end with two arms B and with bevelled strips C for centring and retaining the tyres &c. in position. The platform is tilted by gearing actuated by a motor G and when it reaches the vertical position the tyres &c. come into contact with the rails P and are retained thereon when the platform &c. is withdrawn. If a stool P<2> is placed between the arms B and the lowest tyre &c., the rails P can be dispensed with.
