Abstract

1,215,055. Master cylinders. BARKASWERKE VEB. 16 May, 1968, No. 23378/68. Heading F2F. A master cylinder for a two circuit hydraulic brake system comprises two serially disposed pistons 2, 3 each of which has two slidably connected parts 2a, 2b and 3a, 3b respectively, the parts 2b, 3b having equalizing bores 8, 9 and the parts 2a, 3a having sealing means 6, 7 which on application of the brakes close the equalizing bores 8, 9 and on release of the brakes open the bores 8, 9 to allow pressure equalization to take place. Retraction of the pistons 2, 3 under the action of spring 11 is limited by stops 14, 15 respectively. A respective brake circuit is connected to outlets 22, 27, valves 24, 25 being provided for regulating the initial pressure.
