Abstract

1,205,752. Test tube holder. BAIRD & TATLOCK (LONDON) Ltd. 24 July, 1967 [23 July, 1966], No. 2580/68. Divided out of 1,205,751. Heading B1X. A support for supporting a plurality of test tubes comprises a tray including a frame 30 and a plurality of racks 33, 33a, 34, 34a each defining at least two parallel rows 36 of test tube supporting apertures (38), the racks being detachably suported 'by the frame so that the apertures are arranged in a rectangular array of equally spaced parallel rows, rack 33 being restable on rack 34 so that test tubes in rack 33 extend between rows of rack 34. Each row 36 comprises a spring 42 (Fig. 4), held against apertures 39 by pins 43 for holding test tubes in apertures 39. The racks may be placed in a water bath or on a centrifuge.
