Abstract
1,203,813. Comminuting magnesium oxide; jet pulverizers. DYNAMIT NOBEL A.G. 5 July, 1968 [7 July, 1967], No. 32326/68. Heading B2A. [Also in Division C1] A mixture of granular particles of different grain sizes, and in particular grains of electrically-fused magnesium oxide for insulating electric heater elements, is made by causing the particles to contract each other and be ground in a fluidized bed, sorting the particles and mixing the different sizes to produce the desired mixture. The grinding takes place in an apparatus described in the Specification 1,203,814. Sorting, selection and mixing by conventional means (not described). The following grain distribution is given in the example:-0-0.07 mm. 4%; 0.07-0.12 mm. 12%; 0.12-0.25 mm. 42%; 0.25-0.37 mm. 42%.
