Abstract

1,200,551. Comminuting cyanuric chloride; cyanuric chloride suspension. STERLING DRUG Inc. 10 Jan., 1968 [14 Feb., 1967], No. 1517/68. Headings B1V and B2A. [Also in Division C1] Cyanuric chloride crystals are comminuted in a rotating agitator type attrition apparatus containing a multiplicity of spheroidal attritive elements which consist of beads of stabilised zirconium oxide having a mesh size between 5 and 30 and 'being suspended in a liquid which is inert to the cyanuric chloride. A surfactant, e.g. nonylphenyl polyethylene glycol ether may be added to the charge and octyl alcohol as an anti-foaming agent. A fine suspension of cyanuric chloride which does not settle is obtained.
