Abstract
1297018 Unloading bulk materials from vehicles E M WILCOX Ltd 16 March 1970 12563/70 Heading B8E The sides 9, Figs. 1 and 3, of a vehicle which has an endless belt conveyer 7 below the floor for discharging fluent material, can be folded flat, Fig. 2, so that other loads may be carried. The back 8 of the vehicle is stowed within a box 4 at the front of the load platform. A screen 12, 13, Fig. 3, with holes 16 is provided above the conveyer to support the weight of the material carried. The screen is hinged downwardly over the conveyer when the sides are folded in. The conveyer is driven at a variable speed by an hydraulic motor and discharges through a rear hopper with an adjustable gate. Lateral and transverse sealing strips are provided between the conveyer belt and the vehicle floor to prevent spillage. The belt may be released by a screw conveyer.
