Abstract

1291228 Collapsible tubes ROTOR BINDINGS Ltd 3 Nov 1969 [1 Nov 1968] 52019/68 Heading B8D The contents of a collapsible tube 1 of metal or resilient plastics is expressed by sliding a rectangular plastics frame 5 along the tube away from the flattened tube end 2, the tube walls being pressed together by one or more resilient tongues 8 projecting inwardly and rearwardly from two of the opposed frame sides 6. The tongues also resist movement of the frame in the reverse direction. In one modification, Fig. 5 (not shown), the forward faces of the tongues are curved to the contour of the tube, and in another modification, Fig. 6 (not shown), one tongue is provided and the opposed wall of the frame is profiled.
