1281949 Audio reproducing apparatus INTERPRETAIDE INTERNATIONALE Inc 17 Oct 1969 [1 Nov 1968] 51130/69 Heading G5R In an audio reproducing machine, a magnetic belt 18 carries many parallel tracks (20, Fig. 2, not shown), one of which may be selected by moving a knob 32 in a slot 35, thereby causing block 38 carrying head 43 to traverse the tracks and a conductive foil (19, Fig. 2 or 7, not shown) on the tape stops the electric motor at the end of any track. One 52 of the supporting rollers is pivotable (by the arrangements of Figs. 4 or 5, not shown) to facilitate loading of the tape. Spare tapes 18<SP>1</SP>, 18<SP>11</SP> are stored in the base together with corresponding cards (10, Fig. 1, not shown) which identify selectable messages in a selection of languages corresponding to the numbered scale 34 on the casing. For teaching purposes, an earphone connection (82, Fig. 7, not shown) may cut out the speaker (87).
