Abstract

1281641 Weighing electrically: voltage measuring WEIGHWRITE Ltd and L F GORMAN 19 April 1971 [2 Feb 1970] 4968/70 Headings G1N and G1U An amplifier 3 whose input is derived from a load cell 1 and whose output is indicated on a meter 4, has a gain determined by a feedback resistor 6 selected by switch 8a, and its input offset by a bias voltage selected by switch 8b. Thus, with gauged switches 5a, 5b in the extreme clockwise position and gauged switches 8a, 8b in position 0, if meter 4 indicates a load of 6À53 units, switches 8a, 8b are rotated to postiion 6, when the 6 units input to amplifier 3 are offset by the voltage selected by switch 8b, and the gain as determined by the feedback resistor 6 selected by switch 8a is such that the meter 4 covers one unit of weight for full scale deflection and therefore now indicates 5À3 units of weight.
