Abstract
1276494 Conveying cigarettes MOLINS MACHINE CO Ltd 9 May 1969 [28 Feb 1969 10 May 1968] 22019/69 and 10942/69 Divided out of 1276492 Heading B8A A sensor 19 controlling the feed of cigarettes in stack formation on a conveyer 11, comprises a plate 19 pivoted at 20 and resting on the cigarettes so as to swing upwards and downwards in response to the pressure of the cigarettes, and thereby operate means 22 for controlling the conveyer 11. As shown, the conveyer 11 feeds a shoot 14 leading to a packing machine (not shown) and also a further stack 12 on a conveyer 13 leading to further shoots 14. The stack 12 however, may be omitted as indicated by the baffle 18 shown in broken lines. The sensor 19 has portions 26 (Fig. 2) interleaving with members 25 of a cover member 24 of the stack 12. A second embodiment (Fig. 3, not shown) is identical with the embodiment described with reference to Fig. 2 of the Specification 1,276,492.
