1,274,709. Cement compositions. W. KESSL. 13 Feb., 1970 [14 Oct., 1969], No. 50477/69. Heading C1H. Shaped articles, for use as silicon carriers for cupolas, contain 15-20% SiO 2 ; 7-30% Al 2 O 3 ; 12-15% CaO and remainder SiC; the SiC, SiO 2 and Al 2 O 3 being present as ceramic fragments. Cement provides the CaO, water being added to the complete mixture which is pressed to shape.
