Abstract

1,274,345. Vehicle door fastenings. WILMOT-BREEDEN Ltd. 19 April, 1971 [27 Feb., 1970], No. 9596/70. Heading E2A. Internal locking control means for a vehicle door comprises a mounting 1 adapted to be recessed into or mounted below the window sill of the door, a rockable control member 9 pivotally supported by the mounting for rocking movement between locking and unlocking positions and a lever arm 14 on the control member for connection to a locking control cable 21 or link, the member 9 having two separately identified portions 12, 13 which alternatively project from the mounting to provide a visual identification as to which of said positions the member occupies. The member may be a sub-assembly of two differently coloured mouldings, formed and assembled together to have a cross-halving joint in the region of the pivot axis 11 and consist two mouldings having the same shape. Each portion 12, 13 may have a lever arm 14 to provide for "push-pull" operation.
