Abstract

1,268,338. Fire detectors. NITTAN CO. Ltd. 23 Dec., 1970 [16 Jan., 1970 (2)], No. 61264/70. Heading HlN. In a fire detector having a housing 1 and a base socket 2 either the housing or socket has an annular transparent or translucent portion within which is a lamp indicating actuation of the detector, whereby the lamp can be seen from any direction. The portion is of acrylic resin and is formed internally or externally with an irregular shape causing multiple reflections.
