Abstract

126,718. Dunlop Rubber Co., and Keegan, F. J. Feb. 24, 1917. Wheels with non-supporting casings enclosing spokes. - Wind-shields H of canvas or other flexible material secured outside the spokes &c. B, particularly for use on aeroplane wheels, are fitted with endless wires J or other resilient rings adapted to be sprung behind flanges G formed on or secured to the rim. The central opening in the shield may be stiffened by a wire ring. The rim shown is of the kind described in Specification 125,120, [Class 144 (ii), Wheel tyres, Pneumatic &c.]. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 108,705.
