Abstract
1,263,210. Phenolic resin compositions. HAVEG INDUSTRIES Inc. 24 April, 1969 [25 April, 1968 (2)], No. 52053/70. Divided out of 1,244,238. Heading C3R. A composition comprises a phenolic resin, a filler and a minor proportion of a polypropylene, poly(3-methyl butene) or poly(4-methyl pentene) having a softening-point above 125‹ C. The phenolic resin may be a phenol-formaldehyde or cresol-formaldehyde resin. The filler may be graphite, coke, silica or asbestos. The composition may be thermoset. It may be used to make storage tanks for acids.
