[Also in Divisions B5 and B8] Apparatus for coating an article 64 with a powder comprises a hopper 20 and a butterfly valve 24 to allow the powder to fall onto a rotating paddle wheel 28, two filtering screens 40, 42 which are vibrated, a mesh 44 to support the article and a duct 46 to return unused powder to the hopper under the action of a suction fan motor 56.
