Abstract
1,258,998. Degassing water. MASCHINENBAU BALCKE A.G. 25 Nov., 1969 [26 Nov., 1968], No. 57545/69. Headings B1M and B2F. Boiler feed water to be degassed is sprayed into the degassing vessel 5 through the spaces between the coils of springs 6a and 6b situated at the base of spray head 1. The respective curtains of water from springs 6a and 6b cross each other below perforated suction gas evacuation pipe 17. Upper spring 13 permits lower springs 6a and 6b to open to allow spraying only when the water feed pressure into spray head 1 is above a certain value.
