Abstract

1,256,494. Pipe joints. TECALEMIT (ENG.) Ltd. 20 Jan., 1969 [19 Jan., 1968], No. 2923/68. Heading F2G. In a connector for connecting a grease-gun to a grease nipple comprising body parts I' and 3 having a threaded inlet connection 2 for connection to the gun and a slotted outlet connection 4 for connection to the nipple respectively, the body parts are pivotally mounted for relative angular adjustment on a pivot pin 9, the inlet and outlet connections communicating with annular, axially spaced grooves 12 and 13 respectively through passages 15 and 16 and an inclined passage 14 through the pin. As shown, the grooves are both formed in the pin and each is axially-sealed by a pair of synthetic rubber O-rings 17 seated in annular grooves 18. Alternatively, the grooves 12 and 13 may be provided in the respective body parts 1 and 3 or matching grooves may be provided in both the body parts and the pin. The body parts are retained on the pin by spring clips 10 and 11. The outlet connection 4 is provided with a spring loaded cup seal 7.
