Abstract

1,251,741. Ventilating kitchens. ELECTROLUX A.B. 30 April, 1969 [14 May, 1968], No. 21963/69. Heading F4V. A cooker hood comprises a casing fixed to a wall 1 and a chamber 10 extendible therefrom and provided with a slot 12 through which air is passed to form an air curtain 13. Air is drawn into the fixed casing through a grease removing filter 6 by a centrifugal fan 7 and is exhausted to a chimney or returned through a removable odour removing filter and a louvre to the room. The chamber 10 communicates with the casing via a box 9 and telescopic tubes and may include another outlet for a horizontal rearwardly directed air curtain. A lamp 35 (or 42, Fig. 10) is provided.
