Abstract

1,251,668. Collapsible dispensers. C. F. SPIESS & SOHN. 31 Oct., 1968, No. 51593/68. Heading B8D. A collapsible dispenser comprises a flexible tubular body 21, an outlet neck 4 and a peripherally connected deformable base support 10 wherein the tubular body is formed with at least one integral sloping shoulder 2 which converges to the neck 4 which has a closure 5, e.g. a rotatable cap. The base 10 may or may not be integral with the body 21 but upon filling deforms to permit expansion of the body and forms a supporting rim therewith. As shown, the base 10 is in the form of an inverted V welded to the body 21 at seams 23, 24. Various modifications on the shape of the weld seams are indicated in Figs. 6-10 (not shown). The tubular body 21 may be formed of one or more layers of an aluminium foil-plastics laminate, or aluminium foil coated with polyvinylchloride or polyethylene or of polyethylene or a polyamide based plastics. The body wall may be double hosed.
