Abstract
1,251,599. Electrophotographic element. KATSURAGAWA DENKI K.K. 28 Jan., 1969 [1 Feb., 1968], No. 4793/69. Heading H1K. An electrophotographic element comprises a photoconductive vapour-deposited layer of selenium-tellurium alloy, at least one insulating layer bonded to the photoconductive layer and a conducting layer on the photoconductive layer opposite the insulating layer, at least the conducting or the insulating layer being transparent. In the embodiment a glass substrate having a transparent gold layer thereon has a layer of Se-Te alloy containing 15 mol % Te deposited thereon and a transparent polycarbonate layer applied to the alloy layer. The element is used in an electrophotographic process of the type described in Specification 1,120,123 (see Division G2).
