Abstract

1,249,330. Shovel excavators. ORENSTEINKOPPEL UND LUBECKER MASCHINENBAU A.G. 4 Oct., 1968 [26 Oct., 1967], No. 47138/68. Heading E1F. An excavator bucket comprising a back plate 15 and a bucket body 16 pivoted to the back plate about a transverse axis 17 disposed adjacent the top edge of the back plate is provided with a first pivotal mounting point 7 for attachment to the vertically swingable bucket arm 6 of an excavator and, below the point 7, with a second pivotal mounting point 14 for connection to one end of a link 13 of a system 13, 11, 9, 8 for tilting the bucket relative to the arm 6 when it is mounted thereon. Each lateral edge of the back plate 15 is formed with a rearwardly opening housing in which is housed a piston cylinder actuator coupled between the back plate and the bucket body for causing relative movement thereof. The rear of each housing can be closed off by a cover plate.
