Abstract
1,244,369. Measuring temperature electrically. ROBERT BOSCH G.m.b.H. Dec.13, 1968 [Dec. 14, 1967], No. 59294/68. Heading G1N. A heater-pin plug for multi-fuel I.C. engines comprising a heater coil 12 embedded in a temperature dependent filling compound 14, e. g. electro-magnesia, in an ignition tube 11, the heating voltage UH being applied to the coil 12 via ; pin 15, and a measuring voltage UM being applied to the filling compound via a central electrode 13. The temperature of the combustion chamber, in which the plug is inserted, may then be measured or the signal so derived may be used to control the heating voltage. The filling compound may have a negative temperature coefficient of resistance.
