Abstract

[Also in Division F4] A joint, ,particularly for connecting a lampshade to a supporting arm, so that the shade can be adjusted about two axes at right angles, comprises two parallel plates 3 connected by an axle, e.g. a bolt 9, on which are supported two half bearings 4 each having a semi cylindrical groove in which is a second axle 6 having a part of enlarged diameter to prevent axial movement in the 'bearing formed by the grooves and an abutment 7 co-operating with an abutment 8 on one of the half bearings to shade may be rigidly connected to the axle 6. The plates 3 are carried by a supporting arm which may form part of a parallel linkage device of prism type.
