Abstract

1,123,000. Caps for bottles. METAL BOX CO. Ltd. 11 Aug., 1966 [19 Nov., 1965], No. 49340/65. Heading B8T. A cap 4 moulded integrally.of plastics with an inner closure 1 having a discharge hole 6 in its crown 5, as described in Specification 1,122,999, and having a downwardly-projecting spigot 12 which can be snapped into the hole 6, has a radially-projecting relatively rigid lug 14 at one side with a weakened hinge portion 15 integral with a relatively rigid radiallyprojecting lug 13 on the outer wall 8 of the inner closure. An inner wall 11 forming a de pending skirt integral with the crown of the cap 4 snaps on to the outside of the outer wall 8 of the inner closure. A radially-extending flange 18 at the edge of the cap 4 can be engaged by a finger-nail to open the cap. Axial ribs 19 around the outside of the outer wall 8 of the inner closure member 1 protect the cap 4 from accidental opening.
