Abstract

1,115,324. Cable terminals. D. P. KING, and W. E. LONG. 7 Sept., 1965, No. 38201/65. Heading H2E. The body 11 of a cable terminal 10 is pulled tightly on to a battery terminal post 13 by rotating a bolt 25 which is arranged in a transverse bore 22 in the connector and cut away (Fig. 7, not shown), so as to have sharp arcuate edges 28, 28a which bite into the terminal post. The connector is loosened by turning the bolt in the opposite direction. An extension 15 of the body 11 can be bent to clamp the cable. A pad 18, lubricated through a bore 19 at the bottom of a depression 20, is positioned on the top of the terminal post 13.
