Abstract
A lining is formed on the housing of a fluid flow machine by roughening the surface of the housing, spraying a layer of Mo on the surface, and then simultaneously spraying graphite suspended in an organic liquid e.g. perchloroethylene, oil or aviation fuel, and a Mg alloy containing 9% Al and 2% Sn. The liquid is evaporated, after spraying, by heating.
