Abstract
1,109,089. Endless conveyers. GEBR. EICKHOFF MASCHINENFABRIK u. EISENGEISSEREI m.b.H. 1 Nov., 1965 [5 Nov., 1964], No. 46104/65. Heading B8A. [Also in Division F2] In a mining conveyer comprising material-moving flights 2 pivoted to an endless oval-link chain 1, spaced apart legs 3 of each flight 2 straddle a respective link of the chain and are connected thereto by a pivot pin 4 passing through the link. The flights are held normal to the chain on its working run by the engagement of lugs 6, 7 on the outer faces of the legs 3 with guide rails 9, and are folded flat against the chain on the return run through a casing 8. A ramp 16 acts on the lugs 7 to erect the flights at the start of the working run, and lugs 12 engage the hub 13 of a sprocket 11 to hold the flights erect until they engage the start of the guide rails 9, a stripper 17 separating the chain from the sprocket.
