Abstract
An aqueous concentrate for the production of a hydroponic solution comprises calcium and sulphate ions and a chelating agent. The solution may also contain cobalt and vanadium, which may be in the form of a vitamin, e.g. B12, The chelating agent may be ethylenediamine tetraacetic acid (EDTA), diethylenetriaminopentaacetic acid, 1,2-diaminocyclohexane tetraacetic acid, ethyleneglycol bis-(aminoether)-tetraacetic acid, or hydroxyethyl ethylenediamine triacetic acid, or a potassium, ammonium, or potassium/calcium salt. A specific concentrate contains sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium, zinc, copper, iron, cobalt, manganese, molybdenum, vanadium, nitrate, phosphate, sulphate, chloride, and borate.
