Abstract
1,198,160. Refining 2,6-xylenol. CHEMOPETROL ZAVODY PRO ZPRACOVANI ROPY A UHIK. 25 June, 1968 [27 June, 1967], No. 30292/68. Heading C2C. 2,6-Xylenol is purified by a partial fusion or partial solidification process in which the impure product is kept at a temperature of from 0.02‹ to 20‹ C. lower than its melting point. The impurities then accumulate in the liquid portion of the product. Examples are given.
