Abstract

119,562. Davidson, W. Oct. 22, 1917. Cultivators. - The tines 4 of a rotary soil pulverizer or cultivator are secured to disks 5, G by bolts, the disks being part of castings 3 which are adapted to be clamped in pairs about the driving-shaft 1 by bolts 8, 9, the clamping being loose enough to let the tools slip should one of the tines strike a large obstruction. The tines, which may rest in grooves in the disks, may be arranged in staggered order. In the Provisional Specification it is stated that the tool-carrying shaft is mounted in a pivoted frame supported at its rear end by a wheel, by adjusting which the depth of working may be controlled. The pivoted frame may also be lifted entirely from the ground by operating a hand-lever.
