1,185,777. Handsets. S. G. BROWN Ltd., and T. D. IBBOTSON. 30 Dec., 1968 [26 Feb., 1968], No. 9252/68. Heading H4J. A telephone handset comprises a rigid housing containing a receiver transducer and carrying a flexible but self-supporting boom holding a microphone. A hollow plastics body 3, together with a cover 9, forms a handgrip housing a receiver transducer near a sound hole 2. A boom 4, constructed as a helix of metal strip, adjacent turns of which interlock to form a flexible tube, has a circlip 6 securing a member 7 containing a microphone and having a sound hole 8. A talk, listen push-button switch 1 is provided.
