Abstract

1,184,324. Cleaning coke oven door-frames. HEINRICH KOPPERS G.m.b.H. 8 Jan., 1969 [7 March, 1968], No. 1084/69. Heading C5E. Apparatus 10 for cleaning the door frame sealing surfaces of horizontal coke ovens 1 is disposed on the beam 6 which carries the doorhandling mechanism 8. The beam 6 is movable on tracks 7 on the machine 3 which carries the pusher ram 5 and the leveller bar 4, and the parts 8, 10 are adapted to swing about the vertical axis 11 so that cleaning can be carried out with the door 12 in a position (as shown) from which it can be returned to the discharged oven without further moving the machine 3.
