Abstract

1,180,653. Excavatble ground-freezing methods. FORAKY Ltd. 20 June, 1968 [15 Sept., 1967], No. 42077/67. Heading E1F. The end strata 9 of a cavity 3, 4 to be formed in the ground is, before the cavity is excavated, frozen by the passage of freezing fluid through tubes 8 sunk down through the ground to be excavated and into the ground of the end strata. Each pipe 8 is thermally insulated over that length 5 thereof that will be in the ground to be excavated.
