Abstract

1,174,995. Dispensing box. E. FUGLSANGMADSEN. 21 March, 1967 [28 March, 1966], No. 13295/67. Heading B8P. A dispensing box, e.g. for tablets 12, comprises a resilient gate 40 which holds the uppermost tablet in place and which consists of a flange 94 slotted at 96 so that when the cap 42 is driven home the flange expands outwardly to release the tablet. As shown, the column of tablets is impelled upwardly by a compressible member 54. The internal tube 10 containing the tablets is slotted at 84 allowing an indicator ring 86 to be connected to a slide 18 on which the tablets rest. The outer tube 14 has a longitudinal window 110, see also Fig. 7 (not shown), through which one of seven columns of markings (e.g. days of the week) and the indicator ring 86 can be seen, a column being selected by rotating a base member 26. In other embodiments the outer tube is omitted (Fig. 3, not shown) and a sliding cap replaces the screw cap; or where the device is to dispense pyrophoric flints, Figs. 8-10 (not shown), the flints are impelled outwardly by gravity, the compressible means 54 being omitted.
