Abstract

1,171,980. Scouring pads. BONDINA Ltd. 25 April, 1968 [4 May, 1967], No. 20844/67. Heading A4F. [Also in Division B5] Scouring pads are made by placing a layer 6 of resilient non-woven fabric having abrasive grains bonded thereto in a mould half 1 having depressions 2 and holes 4, overlaying the fabric with a discontinuous web 7 of plasticized polyamide, placing a piece of soap 8 enclosed in a pad 9 of foamed thermoplastic material over each depression, over laying the assembly with a second layer 10 of the resilient non-woven fabric, closing the upper half of the mould on to the lower half, clamping the closed mould, passing steam therethrough, extracting the laminate and severing the scouring pads therefrom.
