Abstract

1,170,554. Fusible cut-outs. EASTMAN KODAK CO. 11 June, 1968 [27 June, 1967], No. 27632/68. Heading H2G. A thermal circuit-breaker 4 comprises an insulated support, members 6 and 22, carrying a pair of conductive plates 12 and 24 having fingers 16 and 32 movable to grip a fusible rod 20. The fingers 16 and 32 are resilient and laterally spaced from each other so that when the device overheats the fusible rod 20 will melt and the fingers spring away breaking electrical contact between the plates which are connected into a circuit by contacts 36 and 38. The plates 12 and 24 are located on the support by lugs 8 and 10 engaging elongated holes 14 and 26 to allow longitudinal adjustment of the plates and are clamped in position by screw 30 and co-operating washer 28.
