[Also in Divisions C2, C4 and C5] Emollient and conditioning compositions for the hair and skin comprise a topical carrier or excipient, and N-dodecylmorpholine oxide: The compositions may take the form of hair shampoos, toilet soaps and shaving creams (see Division C5) or aerosol foams (see Division C4). Other ingredients which may be present include germicides, such as 2, 2-methylene bis (3, 4, 6-trichlorophenol); detergents and surface active agents, such as triethanolamine lauryl sulphate, stearic acid, lauric acid, coconut oil fatty acids, triethanolamine, and polyoxyethylene sorbitan-monooleate and-monolaurate; foam boosters such as dodecanoyl-or tetradecanoyl-mono- or diethanolamides; soaps, particularly tallow-coconut oil soap; other emollient agents, such as polyethylene glycol, sorbitol, glycerine, and mineral oil; and water and volatile propellants. Examples are given for preparing a shampoo, toilet soaps, shaving creams in aerosol containers, and also for preparing N-dodecylmorpholine oxide (see Division C2).
