Abstract
1,162,991. Ornamenting. F. HAYDON. 7 July, 1967 [13 July, 1966], No. 31404/66. Heading B6G. [Also in Division B2] A method of making an artificial stone decorative laminate comprises the formation of a slurried mixture of ground rock of particle size not exceeding 20 mesh B.S.S. and a selfsetting hydraulic cement in water, coating one surface of a rigid blocking sheet with plastics adhesive and applying the mixture to the coated surface of the sheet. The ground rock may comprise a blend of silver sand and crushed pumice stone. The cement may be plaster of Paris or a white hydraulic cement. The rigid blocking sheet may be of a synthetic plastics material, such as expanded polystyrene, a bonded woodfibre board or plywood.
